About Us

Byler Elite Strength Training has been in business since 2012. I first wrote the letters BEST in a note book, in Hudson, MA. I was worried the name of my business was going to sound silly so I wasn’t a fan at first, but I was encouraged, and here we are. Our current location is the third location since starting, so we have been on the move!


As the founder of the business and director of programs here at BEST, my interests in athletics, movement over muscles, and life-long behavior change are at the forefront of how we teach BESTies to succeed.


I believe every person is an athlete: Whether you are a high school athlete, the 40 year old amateur golfer, the mom or dad, or the 60+ year old, the point is that we all do the same kinds of movements: All of us bend, squat, push, pull, and rotate our way through life - the better we do those things the better we feel.


But each of us needs training programs and coaching that meets us where we are. We LOVE using our unique understanding of movement to restore posture and joint motion. This is one of the main differentiators at BEST. You can expect to train hard and get stronger and leaner, but you’ll breathe well and move through full ranges of motion too.

Zack, Owner

Ollie Byler, Director of Barketing

Zack, Owner/Director of Programs – Zack graduated from Howland High School in 2007 and played college baseball player. Now, he likes to enjoy is time outside the gym with his wife and three daughters, and is loves to improve his golf game. He has a bachelor’s in exercise science from Shawnee State University, a master’s degree in kinesiology from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. He also holds over 20 various fitness certifications and is in constant mentorship with some of the top strength coaches and physical therapists in the industry.


Thomas, Program Technician – Chandler graduated from Mount Union with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and went on to complete his doctorate in physical therapy. Chandler is graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, and outside the gym he enjoys spending time with his family which includes going to going to car shows and working on cars and motorcycles.


Ollie Byler, Director of Barketing – Ollie is a Brittany Spaniel, with 7 years of experience. He will comfort you with puppy love when you are at your most tired place in the gym. Beyond that, he can sit, roll over, shake, heel, stay and play fetch! His favorite toy at the gym is a lacrosse ball and you’ll find him staring at it, which means you should throw it.

Who Trains at BEST?

  • Men and women who want to get back in control of their health - If you are an adult between the ages 35-55, we provide the accountability and the know-how to get you leaner, stronger, and feeling younger. We love helping you break the bad agreements you have made with yourself so you can finally have success in the gym for the rest of your life.


  • Golfers - BEST is the premier golf performance training center. It doesn’t matter if you are a high school athlete or a senior amateur golfer, we will get you to stripe the ball 15+ yards further, increase rotational power, and do it pain free or your money back.


  • Youth Athletes – We are experts at developing strength, power and speed mechanics for youth athletes (ages 10-18). We will introduce you to a comprehensive strength and conditioning program. This program makes athletes bigger, more powerful and more confident in competition and life in general.

Philosophy

Effort

Effort is the underlying factor for all things we aspire to do. Effort is the foundation success is built on - there is not other way. Effort is about grinding; it’s about being consistent. At BEST you will will realize the self-defeating stories and bad agreements you make - continuous effort is the only way to change the story and break the agreements.


Passion

It is difficult to find success when there is not strong enthusiasm for the efforts being made. You must know “why” you want something like increased health and fitness before you can have it.


Success

Success is only an outcome. If we can focus on correct behaviors (Effort) and enthusiastically believe in the process (Passion) then we can have the desired outcomes (Success).
